William’s Condition, part 2

My favorite worship song lately has been Rock of Ages. God is the Rock of Ages. A lyrics says, “let me hide myself in Thee.” I tried to sleep last night with small success; I could almost feel my heart breaking into pieces and prayed to my Father in heaven, that I could “hide myself in Thee.” I felt God hug me last night and it was the best hug I’ve ever gotten. (Let me just say also, Will gives great bear hugs too! ๐Ÿ™‚

When you feel grieved for us, I pray you will “hide yourself in Thee.” Be comforted by the God of all comforts; our Healer; our Physician. He is all we need. He hears every prayer and petition. So, with that…

Let me update you as of this morning:

  • Late last night William got an MRI on his brain.
  • The reports showed no brain synapses were affected by the infection! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
  • Try to invision snot covering his brain and that’s where we’re at. That is a wonderful place to be considering all that this could be.
  • Early this morning, he was taken off the ventilator for a few minutes to see how he’d respond. He was moving BOTH sides of his body. The right side is still very weak but it wasn’t moving yesterday. THANK YOU JESUS!!!
  • He tried so hard to open his eyes; still confused, as he should be. He was successful in opening his eyes. Oh, how I dream of looking him in his beautiful crystal blue eyes again.
  • His white blood cell count has dropped because his body is responding very positively to the medicines. THANK YOU JESUS!!!
  • He is breathing 100% on his own right now; (THANK YOU JESUS!!!) but still on the ventilator as we’re waiting in the next few days to ensure the infection is being cleared. Yesterday, he was only breathing 50%.
Family, Friends: Jesus is on our side. He is listening as we cry out to Him for healing of William. He is acting is His most perfect timing, most perfect way. Thank you for the prayers; keep them going!!!
Ladies – Kiss your husbands and tell them how much they mean to you!
You are so loved and appreciated by all who love William. Thank you for being part of our life and loving us so much. Visitors are welcome. Will would love to hear your voice.
I’m choosing to live in the 5 minutes. And, right now, I’m loving this 5 minutes. Thank you Jesus.
*Side note: Carter is being very well taken care of by Grandma and he’s having lots of fun with her as they visit periodically. He has consistency this week, which I couldn’t be more thankful for. I’m so thankful also, that he’s so young, that’ll he’ll have no memory of this; but that we’ll be able to testify to him in the name of Jesus for what he did for his Daddy.

Oh gosh, sobbing as I read this!! So very thankful God is hearing us! My sister told me today- nothing can be changed with worry but everything can be changed with faith. So, I’m standing with you in your great faith and live for your husband- praying and expecting His blessings and Williams full healing.

    Jenet,
Amy is my sweet God-sister and we started praying the minute we heard the news yesterday! I sent it to the prayer chain at our church; and I kid you not; I woke up a thousand times last night and my first thought was ALWAYS Will; he was sure covered in my prayers! ALL night long! And yet I had plenty of energy today; it was definitely a GOD thing.
I recently went through semi-sort of the same thing with my husband; last month he had a virus infect his heart…it was scary. And hard. But our God is SO good; I really had to come to terms that HE would take care of my precious family even if he decided to bring Erick home. He’s still in the recovery phase, so I cling to His promises that he’ll never leave nor forsake us; His plan is perfect, even when we can’t see the big picture. I’m praying that your sweet family will come out of this with an amazing testimony; Erick and I have certainly grown in God since our situation happened!
All in all, I’m so glad to hear this report, and will keep praying for you…for a LONG time!
    God Bless,
    Jennifer Muray

Ditto on the praying for your family… Also wanted to testify to miraculous healings. My son had scarlet fever when he was about 1 and was instantly healed by Jesus. His fever was so high we had to put him in ice baths to cool down. His eyes were rolling back in his head. He was so sick. We took him to the emergency room and they took a throat culture and confirmed that he had scarlet fever. Then Tim went to a brother’s meeting and all the brothers prayed for Ryan. His fever broke immediately and returned to normal. He was not sick any more. In the morning we took him back to the hospital and the doctors were incredulous that his temperature was normal as he should have continued to be feverish, sick, and quarantined for about 21 days. The doctors had to admit that there was no medical explanation for his healing. Some tried to say the test must have been wrong, but we all knew that our prayers had been immediately answered. Thank you Jesus! What a mighty God we serve!
